Did you see it ?
Did you seize it ?
Did you pounce on it ?
Did you even try ?
Can you create it ?
Are you chasing it ?
Or are you just sitting, waiting, procrastinating and just hoping ?
Everything you gain in life will rot and fall apart. All that will be left of you and be remembered well is what was in your heart.
Did you see it ?
Did you seize it ?
Did you pounce on it ?
Did you even try ?
Can you create it ?
Are you chasing it ?
Or are you just sitting, waiting, procrastinating and just hoping ?
YOUR OBSESSION IN CHASING FOR SOMETHING MEANINGFUL IN YOUR PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL LIFE DETERMINES YOUR AGE.
SO HOW YOUNG ARE YOU ?
We must never loose that “little boy” inside of us. As we progress through life, we sometimes build a wall, a facade ; to protect ourselves, to represent our position, to demonstrate our capabilities or even to hide insecurities.
Perhaps in search for happiness , fullfillment ?
But happiness was when we ran barefooted in the soccer field, climbed tress and skinny dipping in a river. I believe most of us missed those days ; and should incorporate moments of our past in to our present lives.
We do not need to climb trees today but we can still have a bottle of wine and enjoy loud unrestricted laughter with our good old friends of yesteryears.
A reflection, a self evaluation.
Are you a shark ?
If you are , do you realize it ?
Or are you trying to climb trees ?
People can change.
Skills can be learnt.
But do also check out the “nature” of your SELF.
If you are a shark , then do not even try to climb a tree, for you will never beat a monkey.
And if you are a monkey, then do not even try swimming with the sharks in the ocean. You will be eaten alive.
And if you are indeed a shark, then behave like one too and not be a guppy.
WHO ARE YOU ?
***** **** and if you are a guppy, don’t pretend to be a shark too

A task …
An action …
Someting you want to do …
SET A DEADLINE ……
Otherwise it will all just be a wish …a talk ….a dream …… that will never happen or just YOU giving empty promises to someone.
A commitment without a deadline means nothing.
A mistake made.
A wrong turn taken.
If only you are willing to say sorry, willing to own up, stop being defensive and take sincere actions to correct your fault, life will be less complicated and meaningful relationship will be forged.
Nobody is perfect … and the ability to admit your shortcomings shows dignity and humility.
As we forge ahead into the new normal era, we will need to redefine our niche and strengths again.
We will need to adapt, change and re-change many times to achieve a balance on what our new routines should be like.
Our past strengths could be our new weaknesses today. Be prepared to leave some of our “old me” behind.
Create a NEW-ME …..a one that is stronger and compassionate as well as living a life of mutual respect and empathy.
How does one tell one’s daughter to use less of her mobile phone when he himself has heightened the usage of his own handphone in this Covid19 lockdown ?
Over the past few years, we seem to have acknowledged the fact that children growing up today are spending too much time on their mobile phones. The “people to people” interaction seem to be missing significantly.
Most social interaction and activities are done through their mobiles. Chatting, gaming, shopping, googling, posting about themselves (and others) and even just merely “scrolling to see what others are doing” have become a daily favorite hobby weekdays or weekends alike. Some are even expressing that being online is a relaxing therapy and they can be stressed up if they have no access to Instagram, FB or WA.
Is this an unhealthy way of growing up ? Or are we just being old-fashion stuck in our own minds on how the future generation should behave ? Did we experience Gojek, Tokopedia and Grab when we were growing up years ago ? Did we ever imagine we could ever be “prisoners” to the wrath of the Covid19 ?
Humbled by the current situation and reality, who are we to judge ? How can we ever predict and dictate what is best for our children in this one single aspect of life on their “need and addiction to mobile phones” ?
Reborn ….. A new you ?
As there will be challenges, have the courage to redefine a stonger, better YOU
You can make a difference.
Anyone can make a difference.
