Humility in 2018

Here we are, year end again.
For many I am sure, 2017 just flew by.

Looking back, what was 2017 all about ?

Have we touched someone ?
Has someone touched and changed us ?
Or have we offended, hurt someone ?
With our words ? Actions ?

We know we are not perfect
We do make mistakes
Yet somehow “sorry” seems to be the hardest word.
By nature, most human beings chose to be defensive
Is it Ego ? Pride ? Circumstances ? Positions ? Ignorance ?

Well, it’s never too late to let our guard down
Especially to people who are dear to us
Family, friends, colleagues, even mere acquaintances.
It’s always admirable to have big heart

To be real and to be apologetic when one is wrong
Then there will be more inner peace, harmony,
love, laughter and even happy tears

For me, 2017 has been a a year of LEARNING
With tears of pain as well as of joy
A year of revelation of behaviors and patterns, mine as well as others.

Thanks to everyone who has been my TEACHER this year

Merry Xmas, happy holidays and have a great 2018 ahead.

Truths

The truth hurts.

Hence, people with good heart & intention  will seem to be harsh and rough at speaking out to you. They are at least real and they still care.

At times, one needs to be awaken and jolted back to reality.

Sincerity ….

Our staff is more important than our customers.
For if we treat our staff well, they in turn will serve our customers great.

How we treat our staff is a DIRECT REFLECTION of how our company culture is directed towards customer service.

Our patterns are consistent ….
Otherwise, we are just being hypocrites.
Be sincere.

The best ….

We must question ourselves on the things we do. Is it logical anymore or is it still relevant today ?

If we wish to do something, then let’s make our work “a piece of art” that can be truly appreciated and admired by our audience.

Otherwise don’t do.

Mediocrity gets us no where.

Prioritize the people in your life

Judge people by their actions and one will never be fooled by their words.

Notice the people who takes the extra effort to stay in your life. Never take them for granted.

Cherish the sincere ones. Don’t waste time on the rest.

Damn …..

What’s the purpose of doing someting if YOU  do not even have the URGENCY to finish it or even have a target deadline to complete it   ????

It just shows that what you want to do is NOT IMPORTANT  !!

Please do not waste the time of others waiting for you …..

Why people still fail when given a 2nd chance

People talk about second chances in various ways. They say: “if I knew then what I know now.” “If I had an opportunity to do things over.” “Please give me a second chance.” “Can we start over?” The list goes on. Most people actually believe they learn from their mistakes. However, when you look closely, you see history repeats itself. Why do most repeat the same pattern? They approach second chances with a first chance mindset.

Many people can tell you they learned what “not to do”. Except, they fail to realize that learning what “not to do” does not mean you know “what to do”. The list of things “to not do” can be infinite. You only need one item on the list of things “to do” to make things work. Because the brain can get stuck with repeating patterns, learning from mistakes is not necessarily the best way to learn.
